Nolan Neiman begins his first season as assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast baseball program. Neiman arrives at FGCU as spending the past two seasons as the top assistant and recruiting coordinator at DeSales University, where his team won the Freedom Conference Championship in 2008 and were runners up in 2007.
Prior to DeSales Neiman also severed as an assistant coach at The University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Neiman served as the Head Coach for the New Market Rebels in the Valley League 2008, and has had assistant coaching stints with the New Market Rebels in 2006 with the Lehigh Valley Catz in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League in 2005 and for the Lehigh Valley Keystone State Games team. Overall Neiman has coached 8 all region players, 21 all conference players, and 17 players who have signed professional contracts.
Neiman was a standout player for DeSales graduating with a bachelor's degree in sport management. A three-year starter at second base, he helped lead the Bulldogs to four consecutive Freedom Conference Championships, four NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournaments, helped capture the school's first-ever Regional Championship and was a member of the first and only team to ever advance to the NCAA Division III College World Series in 2003. Following graduation, Neiman signed a professional contract with the New Jersey Jackals of the Canadian-American League.
At DeSales, he earned All-Freedom Conference honors three times, was named the Freedom Conference Player of the Year in his Junior year and earned ABCA All-Mid-Atlantic Regional honors three times.
Neiman resides in Fort Myers, Florida
